Print FAQs:

Who printed them?

- Bicep Press, Bristol, UK.

Which bit is Giclée and which is silkscreen?
- The gold is a metallic ink applied by silkscreen, the rest is high quality Giclée.

How high quality?
- Stunning detail that renders every brush and pen stroke visible, the figure on the print looks almost more like paint than the original. They have been colour matched to look indistinguishable from the original artwork.

What does the image represent?
Please view the academic collaborations page here.

£175 seems quite expensive, how come?
- It is actually quite reasonable for a high quality print of this size (A2) but also allows Gaz to do a workshop in a state-funded school to use this image to teach young people about general relativity completely free for each print sold.

Can I request a particular secondary school to receive the free workshop after my purchase?
- Spaces will be allocated to schools in Bristol and surrounding areas of South West of England. The spaces will be allocated on a need basis taking into account the school’s access to STEM outreach, and percentage of students who have experienced a form of disadvantage (FSM or LAC/PLAC). Schools can request a free place using this online form. Please share this form with the secondary school you have in mind for them to complete.

How will they be packaged?
Prints will remain flat until purchased and then wrapped in acid free tissue paper and loosely rolled in an A2 poster tube for transit. It is recommended that the print is unrolled and flattened upon receipt, the longer it is stored rolled, the harder it is to flatten. A framer will be able to assist you with this process. Please contact if you require more guidance.
