Educational outreach
STEAM learning
Helping schools, learning hubs, universities and community organisations to embed the arts into STEM education and outreach (STEAM learning).
Although I now work as an artist and founder, my former role as a chemistry teacher continues to inspire my work. As such, educational outreach is still an important part of what I do.
As well as 8 years experience in schools and 10 years in education, I also have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), an enhanced DBS check, DSL level 3 training, and £5m public liability insurance.
WORKSHOPS
Through The MoSAIC, I facilitate a range of creative STEM workshops that are being added to throughout the year. Here is what The MoSAIC currently offers:
- The Art of Astrophysics
- Making Music Using Chemistry
- Monochrome: The Physics of Colour
- Infrared Art
Through the sale of Gaz’s artwork, there are up to 24 fully funded days of ‘The Art of Astrophysics’ workshops for state schools in the South West of England, particularly those with with high levels of disadvantage.
